is it possible to put electric windows from a GXL into a std wind up door configuration?

But why would u want to...

80's power windows are crap once they git a bit of mud in em.. id rather wind up ones in miine....

Yes they fit into the door but there is a lot of electrics that go with them im pretty sure the body loom has all the stuff but you would need the door looms for each door and it sould all just plug in. You also need the GXL door trims as the switchs plug into the door handle so to fit the door trim you need the pastic nuts that clip into door were the handle on the door screws into.

My 80ute started as a DX model and i fitted lecci windows.

Thanks, the reason i need to know is because I have a damaged cruider and swapping everything to another and if I get a dx i can swap interiors and electric windows and componants. I thought they were the same shell, just wanted to be sure
