plasma rope
does anyone know if plasma rope can be joined, i have 35m and want to make it longer, hopefully without any major problems.
can you join it like ski rope and winch it all the way in. a reef style knot. both ends are spliced into loops then joined by looping one through the other. i join my ski rope like this and it is also very similar to plasma (3000lbs break).spazbot wrote:yes you can just splice in a extra piece for more length. or you could make ur extra bit into a extension strap and get it out when u need it

Do a search on us plasma rope manufacture sites and you'll come up with stuff like this

From memory a fid is a tool about the length of a biro.
I reversed my plasma rope to extend the life a bit - put the frayed stuff on the drum end. It tool a while first time to follow Samson's instructions on splicing a loop, but if I can do it then anyone can.
