2001 2.5L (4D56) German Strada, front diff

Post by DougH »

Frank,

What size front diff came in this truck.

Fellow in Germany was dreaming of gears and I was wondering if my 7.25 5.29's would fit.

Thanks,
DougH

Sorry Doug - I'm not ignoring you, it's just that I've never heard of it. I guess a lot of members are in the same position.

Cheers,

No worries, I didn't think any one was ignoring me. There is a picture of it on the 4x4wire forum. We don't have any mitsubishi pickups in the US any more so I have no idea what it could be in your neck of the woods.

Doug - I honestly don't know.
By 2001 our Tritons had a 2.8 diesel and the 3.0 V6.
We did have the 2.5 turbo diesel in earlier models though and I'm sure they were a low pinion 7.25".
The easiest way would be for the guy to get the factory C&P part no from his local Mitsu dealer (tracking via the VIN no) from that we can work out what he has.

Frank.

Yes C&P part no or the housing part no.
The diff centre part no is useless as this is no guide if it is HP or LP.
