hi all a few questions and yes i had done a search on it
the truck is a bj 42 landcruiser 82 mod ,and in nsw
ive obtained a set of 100 series diffs to fit under it ,im setting it up to be a capable tourer as it already is and is well used for wheelin
i wish to have it set up as, low wide but still fairly flexible
im wanting to change the wheel base , buy moving the rear axle back and to push the front axle as far forward as possible as for the front wheels to be the first contact to a rock climb way before the chassi comes close the chassi will be getting a trim as well
what i want too know is how far can the tyres hang out infront of the gaurd/truck
and what has to be done to move the chassi number to another position as im wanting to take a fair amount of the chassi , as in legality issues
cheers stuart

engineering wise, you'll need something portruding out past the tires. daz overcame this with a removable bullbar.
he has a 0 approach angle when it's in it's wheeling guise. but yeah, check out his members thread on hear or on 3rd rock.

D00d if you do this how can a sit back with Gareth and Dawso and give a runing comentry on the number of trees that jump out on you?????
are you intending to run Coils? or keeping leaf? robs 40 has the front moved 3" forward from memory and the shackle is right on the end of the chassis pretty much, but with coill you could move it day 4" and trim down the fron of the chassis and put a neat tube kind of bar on it. I presume you are keeping the body? of so drop the back a couple of inches and it should be pretty good. I think 8 or 9" to the wheel base of a shorty gives a pretty good lenght
