Diff seals/compression in the diff?

Post by big bundy »

i just put new shoes in the rear of the cruiser, right hand one was sweet, the left hand had oil and shit in there, so from what i can see the axle seal has gone? also the pinnion seal which was replaced about 6 months ago has also started weeping again, when i pulled the fiill plug from the diff out, i could hear hissing ie air escaping :? is somthing wrong? is that why it is leaking all of a sudden? becuase i adjusted the rear drums two weeks ago and they were fine.

i have done a search but returned nothing
any ideas?
