Seat mount fix?

Post by nicbeer »

Hey,

Due to the careless people at the wreckers they have taken the old seats out with a crowbar. This has ripped the welded nut underneath through the rear mounts on the drivers side. :x

Would the be anything bad in buying some 75mm RHS or channel and boxing in the orig mount and welding it up and then new hole and either bolt nut/nyloc or nut welded on underneath?

I was thinking of getting some 3mm wall for this as the orig is paper thin.

cheers
