Any guys got Mq and GQ? Are chassis rails the same dimensions. I know MQ has outriggers that GQ don`t have but are longtitude sections the same or is GQ heavier built. Someone has a good MQ chassis and I wondered if any of the chassis sections could be cut out and copies made should I need any sections in future. I`ve already welded in some metal.
Not much choice here in Scotland as GQS are rare

Chassis types
I have both.
basically...... the widths are different for a start, but the length would be very similar.
body mounts would be in the wrong spots due to width problems....
but id imagine that the MQ and GQ chassis wouldnt be much bigger than each other...
they will be both made of similar metal and be of similar size, just all the plates and mounts and bracketing would be different....

Thanks Screwy. So apart from the widths, lengths, body mounts and other irregularities......They`re the same
. I just had a quick looksee at this chassis and didn`t get time to measure. It looked as if the sections running behind and parallel to wheels may have had slightly smaller rectangular section. Next time I`m out at it will measure carefully as the sections under the bumper may need looking at in a year or two on my GQ.
Thanks Alex

Thanks Alex
