Vacuum H4 engagement

Post by V8 Middy »

Are the solenoids for vacuum engaged 4WD the same from a 4-Runner as a cruiser?

Will they plug straight into the loom or will I have to hack the wiring?

Need to replace mine (in the FJ73) cos they burnt along with everything else and the wreckers only have the 4-runner ones.

Thanks

Toyota solenoids are very similar in function but may differ in inlet and outlet location or the mount. You can get a VSV (vac. switching valve) from a Camry, Celica, etc. and make it work in the cruiser.

V8 Middy they should be exactly the same as the ones on that LX bundy I am wrecking. It has the push button transfer (H4) i am not exactly sure what it is you are after but it is all complete. I can send you pics if you want? You want it?

I'm after the H4 button off the dash and the solenoids and piping from under the bonnet.

You have a PM re. photos of the tub too.

Thanks
