That is enough to give anyone a halfa that is into 4wd's.

That's a Ford 9" center thats where you get all those gear ratios from.

What toyo's are they... i never seen any with that pattern...
They do look very much like STTs
Its awesome how the axle is above the centre of the hub... I've never seen anything like it before... and it looks so smooth clean.. lol

pretty much, and lower ratio (usually), and less stress on components within the drivetrain

why is that? are the gears in the portals supposed to go before the anything in the drive train does? or is there just less stress because of the gearing...?

Bingo.
2:1 (normally) ratio reduces the stress on the drive train
