Sierra 1 Litre to 1.3 Litre swap
Sierra 1 Litre to 1.3 Litre swap
Could anyone shed some light if the 1.3 Litre engine will bolt in place of the 1.0 4 Cylinder ? Gearbox bolt up etc ???
I've done this mod, 96-lux is basically correct. I believe its only worth doing to a LWB, or if you get the entire 1300 engine and box and bits real cheap.
In a SWB, it is better to start with a 1.3 zook, then use 1.olitre t-case, or hopper.
I'm happy to discuss my conversion, if you decide to go ahead, christover

There were alot of narrow track 1.3ltr suzi's so I don't see how a swap would be that hard. Saying that I have a 4AGE in my car, so any suzi motor swap is going to be easy. I will ask Chad if the 1 litre gearbox will fit, but you would probably want a 5 speed anyway to get the most out of the conversion on the road. (Though he will probably say the same thing as christover1 if it comes down to $$$$ & if you are doing most of the work yourself)
If we can put one man on the moon, why can't we put them all there!!
