tanks,
yep - 10 spline but i'm not too fussed. I got this with a stage 1 front axle assembly, but fitted with uj's not cv's. With the pinion gear stripped would I be right in assuming the 10 spline uj shafts are stronger than the 4.7 pinion anyway?

BTW also scored a complete maxi rear sals. The missus spat it and i'm on the couch, But i still cant stop smilling.

you've done well. it comes down to driving style.everything has limitations so do what you reckon will suit your style of driving. cheers

i'm pretty sure ARB sells the sun gears seperate if you want to convert it to 24 spline aswell.

I can't see the pic.

If the diff is setup properly, the r&p should be stronger than 10 spline axles. If the gear tooth alignment was out, for whatever reason, they will be more likely to fail.

I was told by ARB that you can't buy the sun gears, however, Jack Mac will reforge your 10 splines to 24 and give you his axels for around $800.

That's what I'm doing.

Depends which R&P you are running and how you drive. I have seen many 4.7 R&P's break leaving perfect 10 spline axles.

If it was really fitted t a stage 1 it should have 3.54's though.

Thanks Ben, I missed the part about 4.7 r&p.
