Super select dash lights

Post by wrksux »

Gday,

The dash lights for the super Select 4wd bit no longer work, but it is only the rear as when 4wd is engaged the front lights come on but hte rears do not. now it is my guess that the globes have gone. ive searched high and low but can not find any info on what globes they are and how to replace them myself havent checked at the dealer but im sure its much more than he or i would want to spend on replaceing them.

so if anyone knows where i could find a guide to doing this or anyhelp that would be awsome

cheers

Tim

I would say that the globes have blown. It would seem that it is a pretty common thing to happen as many Paj's i have seen have had lights that don't work. I hav'nt replaced them before however i have had the dash out of one to replace the speedo cable and it looks like all five bulbs are wired together as one. I would ring your local Mitsy dealer to get them and the dash itself is quite easy to remove!

Yep, 3 screws for the outer, one behind a cover near the windscreen (need a short screwdriver) and the other two are the visable ones. There is then another few screws and it pop's out. I just used the globes from things not needed, such as the diff lock that mine doesn't have  or the seat belt connected light.

Repco carry an LED replacement globe that will fit, will last heaps longer, haven't got the part number with me, but I'm sure they would be able to help you out. ;)
