As the topic says .


my misses has fallen for the 5 door vit (94mod) which will now be a part source for the new project ..... So I need to get another to keep in the good books for hacking the otha UP ;) .....


So Ive found 1 2003 mod auto 30000kays now ...with this model is there anydramas that I need to know >motor >box ? anything else .....that maybe others have had dramas with .

Any particular areas to have a decent look over other than the usual ??

Any1 want to share the fuel economy stats or lack of ;)

03 should be a 2.5lt v6.

if it is this model you should have no problems.

if it is the 2lt v6 look out for the spark lead under the coilpacks.
most have dramas with these.

is it the facelifted model? if it has the alloy front diff it will break pretty easy off road with just bigger tires, the later ones are steel so much better

rear axles are weak if you fit a locker and get too excited with em as well

Manuals are always steel front housings.

It should still be under factory warranty? check rear main seal not leaking.

Cheers fellas ......yes it still has fatory warranty ...... I just wanted to know any areas to take an extra close look @ .


But unfortunately while we were waiting for the finance to be approved it was sold :cry:............ I didnt want to loose a deposit if we didnt get the money approved so we missed out ...oh well there will be others ...
