Gu 2.8lt 1998 Turbo Mod

Post by john_azza »

I have a 1998 GU 2.8LT Diesel. It has a mod on the turbo where the waste gate valve has been welded to a fix posistion. On the tubing for the valve comming from the intercooler to the turbo is a T-peice adaptor with some sort of bleed valve is fitted. Has anyone heard of this mod and its purpose. As i have just had a cracked head replaced, should I remove this mod and return it to standard.

I would return it to standard !
Maybe up the boost a little, but no more than 0.8 - 0.9 bar.
