Custom Lux spring questions

Post by 96_Lux »

Im getting some custom springs made close to Chevy length 62 inches for the rear although i have a few questions regarding setup ?

Advantages/Disadvantages of running more spring length from diff backwards ? Ie centre pin whole offset ?

Advantages/Disadvantages of setting up with long/short shackles ?

Can you run the spring pack to flat ?

The longer the spring the more it will flex but the less weight it will carry.

My springs are heeps longer then standard (can`t remember the length) they flex great but it drives crap on the road as it gets the wobbles up in the rear when on ruff roads at 100k`s. I have ways of fixing it just haven`t worried about it yet as I just don`t drive it enough on the road for it to bother me.

the main disadvantage of having more spring behind the diff is a worse depature angle.
