extractors for a diesel

Post by 12ht...crooza »

G,day everyone.
I,m a newby here, but hopefully soon to be a regular.
I've got a few questions i hope you can help me with..
I will be making my own exhaust system for my 12ht,out of stainless steel...probably 2 1/2 or 3 inch straight through, and i was wondering if there is extractors made for diesel's or not.As well as ....how much roughly would extractors cost if they are available...
And do the extractors increase performance by much..??
any help would be much appreciated.

yes you can buy extractors for diesels but if your jigger is turboed you can not fit them
i had extractors and 2.5 inch exhaust fitted to my turtle[80 ser 1hz] for under 600 bucks a couple of years back . made a big difference
wish ihad another 80 for spares
now have a new toy.4"lifted n locked t/d 105 series. ya f*#@ken hoo

Yeah extractors will help a no turboed diesel a little, straight through pipe asuming you mean without muffler will be a bit noisey though. And if it is tuboed as rampage said wont be able to fit extractors

o.k.
thanks for the help there.I guess i'll just make the stainless straight through out of 3 inch.I'll give it a go without a muffler, and if its too noisy i'll add a hot dog to it.
cheers.
