I have a flash J200 that has had a new paint job etc.
I am thinking of buying a J2000 I know of that has all the gear I want but the cab is rusted out.
I've never had a cab off - is it a big job?
I think it will fit - a straight swap?

Any advise appreciated.

It should be a easy swap. I had a FSJ Cherokee I did the same thing to. All the body mounts should be in the same place & like most all the body bolts should come out ok. When are you going to start doing this project? Should be a weekend of work if you have help lifting the cab's off.

I have a J200 project ...

The Cab is easy to take off , just undo the bodymounts , desconnect wire harness and linkages , steering column , take front end off and whammmooo ............

J series have same body shape , mounts etc . Only real difference i know between a J200 and a 2000 is that the 2000 is a hevier duty model .
