feroza check engine light under power up hill

Post by noelp »

My check engine light comes on quite often when going up a hill under power - if I back off a bit it goes off again.
Will check the memory codes as per the FAQ, but any thoughts on an easy solution to the problem? Maybe the airflow sensor? I have a finer filter pod type aircleaner replacing the orgiginal.

Thanks,

Noel

Ferozas use a MAP sensor which isn't affected by an oiled air filter (ie oil won't clog them up like some airflow meters.)

Check the codes and go from there.

Sounds like it could be your oxygen sensor.

Mine does the same thing and had a mate check the fault codes and thats what the problem was.

Yes, that was my first thought too. The fault code system is fairly basic and to actually have a code logged means something is seriously wrong!

(I've disconnected sensors before and not had any faults log!)
