im thinking about registering a suzuki i am building. now my question is;

i will have changed the engine, diffs, new/different body, seats. what will i have to do for registration in queensland. will i need it all inspected and mod plated or will i be able to register it as the vehicle i just described?

if i dont do the engine and diffs but just put a body on will i have to get it all approved and stuff or can it just be safety certed and registered?

thanx
Evan

you'll have to get it all approved to legally register it. Plenty of people just get a dodgy roadwaorthy from a mate etc but that's your choice... most people know the possible outcome if you crash into something then :roll:

Post up some details of what you did, how it changed the vehicle from stock and how you did it all. Then we can give you some idea of what might or might not pass inspection :)

well i was going to go hilux front, 3 link coil rear, lux diffs spring ova with a supercharged worked L20B on a NT chassis and standard tray back cab chop.

now that i just want to get a bloody 4by to drive for now, im lookin at just sticking a WT body onto the NT chassis with lux or WT diffs spring under with 2 inch lifted springs and 2 inch body blocks with the same worked blown L20B engine. i know ill need bushwacker flares or similar if i go hilux diffs, i would prefer WT but for the price hilux are a better option.

what do you think. i dont mind getting mod plates but if it will need engineering then i dont think its worth it
