hey guys did a search on here for some info but didnt really come up with anything at all, anyone running these? just saw the ad for them the other day and they dont 'look' too bad at all, just wondering on price? wear? and structure? havent heard much about these...

I can't comment on the price as i'm based in NZ, but a run a set on my SWB Safari/Patrol 33 X 12.5 R15.

I think they are awesome.

They self clean well, they are directional, but are cut in such away that you do still get a reasonable amount of taction in reverse.

They are wearing really well, i have done close to 1000k's on them, and the little knobbly bits on the treads from the moulding process are still visible over the most of the tread blocks.

They perform really well off road, really good on the slippery clay hill climbs.

They are slightly noisey on the road but not to bad when compared to simex pede's etc.

I recommend them.

Others may not.

Alot depends on what you use you truck for.

These are my dedicated off road tyres, but as i drive some long distances to get to tracks and trips i didn't want over aggressive comp tyres.

These suit the purpose very well, being fairly aggressive, but hard wearing on the road.

I like them better than my last set of BFG's

they look like a good thing to me. I Went few yrs back lookin at them, and they were quite a lot more $ than the MTR at the time. The place I went to sold yokos, and the dude had said he had no probs with them on his rangie parked outside, but he said he couldnt move on price, so didnt go with them.

roly had a set on his GU, if I remember they wore out hideously fast.

maybe look on offroader.com.au see if the test is still there.

I have a set of 31 x 10.5s for my zook that i don't use that much anymore, in my experience, they are a superb tyre on rocks (for a radial) and mud the sidewall is a little on the soft side. Overall, I really like them but I disagree DieselBoy on the wear point I'll be lucky to get 20k out of them on a zook! The upside is soft rubber generally mean great grip on hard surfaces and they do!

that's not saying much - any tyre roly uses wears out really fast.

they are a pretty touch tyre but noisy as, and wander a bit too much for radials on the road.

I also have not been able to find much on these tyres but Paris to Dakar has been won on Yokahamas for the last ten years

I Ran On these for a few months - Couldn't reccomend them enough for mud use, but on road I couldn't stand them, with the worst point being under braking when I thought my car was falling to peices every time I braked. Noise wasn't an issue - The Guy Who I sold them to also commented on the enomous shuddering these tyres produced under braking?

That sounds like my STT, just keep getting noiseyer. And at about 20k's or less you can feel every lug. Really need a second set for the road.

I thought they werent bad on the road - compared to the BFG muds I'd had.

Wear rate wasnt too good though.

I found the geolanders good in the sand bagged down well but was thinking of putting them on in reverse direction. I had 33" tyres on SWB MQ and lokrite ratshit lokka in back. Chewed the rears down to about 50% in about a year, in the end i staked the sidewall somehow in a bog hole so i bought the cheep 35" cooper stt's but i believe they have a new pattern out now nothing like the bfg copy.
