Hi all,
i think it's about time i got rid of my old suzuki 1 litre monster. I was thinking of a longwheelbase vitara for a while, but now i'm looking at the widetrack feroza beast.
Anyway, here's a car i found for sale with the following details, that i'm going to check out this weekend...
SX2, 1995, wide body, 5 spd, p/s, p/w & mirrors, removable hardtop, CD, tint, new clutch, full alloy b/bar & side steps, fully rebuilt motor 3000kms ago with receipts, 2yr warranty, full service history, all receipts, spotless interior, excel cond, $8500 ono.
Sounds like it could be a goer!.....

as a car salesman i find that price a bit expensive, but hey i reckon every ones car is expensive that i am buying
go to www.redbook.com.au and look up the average private sale price
if you live in nsw make sure you do a REV's check on to make sure ,there's no money owing on it Google search REVS
at the department of fair trading
if it has lots of klms hence the motor rebuild is it going to become a hole in the ground that you throw lots of hard earned cash at it what else is going to go wrong with, ask why are they selling it ?
look for additional expenditure, like rego, tires screen etc , instead of a nrma inspection, get your local reputable mechanic to have a look at it and see what he thinks you'll save some bucks
make sure it has the service books and a service history if it doesn't leave it alone oh and make sure they supply you with a road worthy
and good luck

I used to think the same thing until I recently had an RAA inspection done on a car I was selling (for a potential buyer interstate.) The guy came to my place and spent over 3 hrs going over it! The test was very thorough and surprised the hell out of me. They even checked the window tint to see if it was legal. Having worked in a mechanical workshop before I could guarantee the average shop wouldn't have been anywhere near as thorough. They also had specialised test equipment the average workshop wouldn't posses (not that a Feroza would need it).Maverick wrote:.... instead of a nrma inspection, get your local reputable mechanic to have a look at it and see what he thinks you'll save some bucks
They even do an ownership check and then a technical advisor calls the potential buyer and discusses in detail any issues.
