Coil Spring spacers
Coil Spring spacers
Has anyone used coil spring spacers and if so are they any good?
i supose they are ok i know of a few people using them and they have no troubles so far,
i was talking to some guys in ARB 4X4 here in Dandenong, melbourne and he happen to say that they screw up your springs over time becuase it compressed the springs or so he sayd thought you think about it, it just changes the hight at which you sit
i was going to use them myself but after going out today in appin here in sydney with my 2 inch lift i got throught 90% of it
but have decided to just put in a 4-6 inch lift in

Thanks Mathew,
The reason I was thinking about the spacers were because I have 33X12.50X16 tyres on. When I use it hard it can scuff up on the wheelarch which I would like to avoid. Also there is not many people who use Nissan Patrols here in the UK as they are expensive. Many prefer Landy's as they are cheap to repair. But after being in the Middle East they fall short of the mark when it comes to reliability in my opinion.

You won't have a problem with coil spacers but I think your shocks could be a bit short then.
I think you should splurge and get bigger coils and shocks to suit.
I am not sure of the availability of longer shocks over your way. Do you get Procomp shocks where you are?

Use the spacers for what they are intended for. Leveling the vehicle by small amounts. There should be no need to use more than 10-15mm. If you need more than that then you should look at changing the springs. They're pretty cheap these days anyway.

We have just shipped some stuff to www.boab.biz last week, [120 series slidersteps] could of sent you some longer springs and shocks, if you have trouble getting them there.
Will be continuing to send them gear as required, they are on the plane heading back to UK at the moment, after driving across the country the last 4 weeks, in a vehicle they brought out from home.
