extra cab diff housing question

Post by BadLux »

Hey I've got an extra cab diff housing, are the drums interchangeable with the drum brakes off my Ln106? And do you need to press the bearings out to get the drums off?

I dont see why the housings would be different. The drums should just pull off by hand, if not massage it with a hammer.

Its the rear diff out of a 91 extra cab hilux. Ifs front end. Apart from the housing being roughly 4" wider and the axles longer. what else is different. I have the housing but the brakes seem pretty F%*ekd. I was wandering if i could change all the necessary parts from my hilux..

The brake assembly is the same. the only difference is longer axles and wider housing.
