When making your own custom bars, where do you buy your steel pipe and flat bar ?

i used 48.8x2.9 pipe purchased at edcon steel, orchard rd brookvale. have found their prices to be ok. will cut on the spot for you.

Edcon Steel are priced pretty well, or i normally use Sims Metal they have treated me well, especially having large amounts of stock,

Blackwoods
AE Baker
Metaland
Smorgan Steel
Edcon are also at Revesby and Arndel Park
and
Interalloy for aluminium

If just need a small piece for machining i use Emco at Auburn He cuts what you need and you pay by the kg. Sells tooling, brass and aluminium as well

if your close to the penrith area, there is a steel place Called SOuthern Steel, they sell by the metre, as long as you leave them a reasonable amount, so if your after half length or 3/4 length they are good, well priced too,
