45 series and 75 series pieced together

Hi all,
My brother has a 1982 FJ45 Landcruiser troopcarrier which is stock apart from the 351 V8 (Marks adapter kit) and rear air locker. He has a front disc conversion but that was done using 45 series parts.
Basically it is in reasonable condition other than the syncros in the 4 speed gearbox and the rusty body.
He wants to know what would be interchangeable if he got a 75 series troopy with a good body but buggered engine/mechanicals. Would an early 75 series be similar. I know they still had the 2F/H engines in the early models (his was a 2F originally).
Are 75 series diff assemblies wider than a 45 series?
Are the leaf springs the same?
He would like a 5 speed gearbox too. Are all 75 series 5 speed?
This is not his daily driver so it doesn't need to be a weekend change over.
Thanks for any info/opinions you can give.
