NO QLD events that's a bummer, is anyone thinking of trucking rigs from QLD to the events. Anyone got a semi or wanting to share one as I would share costs!!! I know of a guy who does long haul so if your interested send me a PM should be able to get 3 on a truck at least!

I swear there is a conspiracy

I used to live in NSW and couldn't afford to go to all the comps in QLD. Now that I have moved here and have a buggy to play with, the '06 WEROCK season is in NSW

You do realise that even though Qld has a good number of supporters you can not argue the fact that for shear spectator numbers you can't go past sydney based events for volume of spectators.

The trend has also now changed from Qld been home to the most number of Rockcrawling teams, now there would be easily more in and around sydney with just as many in Victoria. So it makes perfect sense to try and place them in the middle for everyone to try and get to (hence somewhere between Brisbane and melbourne = Sydney).

Next year if theres 100 teams in W.A and they get 6000 spectators to an event then i would imagine that the majority of rounds would be held there! (just and example)

this is true the sport needs to go where the competitors and spectators are

My point was a personal situational observation not a generic sport related one ;)

To add to that as well POS
The cost of running a buggie should also include transportation to and from an event as well as accomodation Hotel or camping. This is an expensive sport any way you look at it wether all events are close to home or the other side of the planet and today you certainly dont get something for nothing!

At the end of the day...its all about bringing the sport to the people.

The money and success come from spectators.

Much more people in NSW than QLD.

WE Rock is a business, afterall.

It kinda sucks not having a QLD round but i can understand why....

Last year QLD round wasn't supposed to happen, it was a last min thing which is why not many teams or spectators turned up.

All i know is i can go to only one of the rounds due to distance and lack of funds, that also sucks cuz i wanna see all the rounds

At least you have Rover park, whilst it is in NSW, its a hell of a lot closer to Brissy or Gold Coast than Sydney isnt it.
