cams cages?

say if you have a 4wd with a cams approved roll cage

and u want to take the cage out to put it into another 4wd

the only way is to cut the cage to get it out ... and re weld it in?

legal or not?

the pipe cannot be cut & rejoined , the hoop and the legs ect must be 1 peice without joins

You could turn it into a bolt in type of cage bu being carefull were you cut it. Not sure if cams approve bolt in though.

I do bolt as standard, CAMS approved, 6mm clamps

as i understand it you can do bolt in sections, but there has to be a specified length of solid bar before you return to tube in the barwork running into/out of the bolted join.

how bout you just cut and shut the cars?

yep... I would be pulling the roof off..... cage out... roof on...

But then I drive a Land Rover and it is a mechano set.. unsure what vehicle you have and if you have that option
