hey

i have a mk, td33.

im in the process of ditching the twin air filter setup and replacing it with a landcruiser single filter setup. (fit straight in...almost). any way i need to run the crankcase breather somewhere but dont realy wana run it back into the intake as it was.

ideas?

was thinkin of plumbing it downwards near the firewall somehwere but i think it might make a bit of a mess.

thanks in advance.

cheers

Legally, you are supposed to run it back into the air cleaner for emissions. However you can run it back into the chassis OR you can get an oil can from Autobarn or repco so it collects the oil and fumes. It has like a steel wool type material inside.

Hope it helps

What you need to remember is that the breather is a 2 way street, it sucks in as well as breathing out so to prevent further wear and damage to your engine you should filter the air it breathes.

ok, think it may be easier to jus run it back into the intake then.
