sd33 - sd33t

Post by Turbo Tonka »

my old man has a sd33t lined up to replace his old sd33. am i right in saying that the sd33t are 12v? what would have to be changed???starter, alternator, lights etc. wiring can still be used if the relays and so on are changed??? we just need to be sure, not mechanical freaks...anyhelp would be great

all of the above would need to be changed.... thats correct....

but if your SD33 is 24 volt.... might be easier just to take the alternator and starter off your old motor and put it on the turbo diesel...
that way its 24 volt.... and no changing everything else...

Would the injector pump cotrol motor have to be changed also? I'd guess it would??
Injector control motor, glow plugs, starter and alt pretty much would cover the electrics on the motor.
