XRCC 2006

Post by beebee »

Just got off the phone with Dave Metcalfe and he has confirmed that XRCC will continue in 2006. The first round will likely be 11-12 March at LCMP. This date is still to be confirmed.

Dave will get on here next week to update.

i would like to compete in XRCC this year and was wondering what the tracks were like?
would 33s be competitive or are the rocksteps to big suited to 35+?

i think i was there for the first XRCC with gonads and the buggies at
cruiser park prolly 2/3 years ago, not sure if what i saw was XRCC tho

Simply answer is YES.

Like others have said, if its on a light weight car than 33's will be fine, he just needs to pick lines more carefully.

If you want to get a start in competitive rock crawling then XRCC is an ideal option. 33" tyres will make it difficult but as long as you've got lockers, decent sill protection and front and rear bars, you'll have fun.

trying not to sound like a winja or anything... but thought id explain my case

vehicle stats- refer to sig line -- and rear lincon locker ;)

its my first comp and i dont wanna piss people off by if i cant drive something
thats probably the only thing stopping me from entering comp at the moment
tho i do agree that tire size and no front locker will disadvantage me :?

Both POS and BeeBee have hit the nail on the head.So long as you've got some good barwork ( or real good spotter )or don't mind a bit of scraping here and there you'll be fine. XRCC has a good relaxed vibe and everyone helps each other out, so you won't piss anyone off.

That will be announced after this weekend. MMM is up at a winch challenge at LCMP and he's going to confirm the date with Alben (owner of park) whilst he's there. There is other comps the weekend before and after up there so the date is unlikely to shift. Venue will definately be LCMP.

The only problem that I see is having no winch. Give MMM a call a little later in the week and have a chat ;)
