If its the the compressor you can buy just a new motor for it, is only about $30 from arb.

Thanks pull the tank off today and inside where the crang goes to the electric motor from thew piston is very corroded and rusty so sprayed lanolin in there and tapped then hooked back up and away it went so works for now but may need to buy new electric motor as you suggested guts.

THROW IT IN THE BIN and buy another compressor, I used to have a problem with mine ,ARB replaced it 3 time and rebuild it twice. After that they would not look at it so i threw in the bin.

I have had my ARB compressor undr the bonnet for around 7 yeras now, it gets covered in mud and water, has been fully submerged a couple of times and hasn't missed a beat. Any compressor that is subjected to this sort of treatment can stop working, anything electrical shouldn't be subjected to this sort of treatment without maintenance.

So what was the actual motor cost in the end?
Mine is starting to sound worse and worse as it gets used

May be time for a new motor and seals.

I have had 2 ARB compressor, the first had 2 motors replaced and the 2nd was rebuilt, all work done FOC by ARB. I wouldnt say they are the greatest on the market but I cant complain about the back up service.

Cheers
