My new GQ came with factory 16 inch alloys. What is the largest tyre i can fit on them?

If they are 16 x 8 Alloys which I am guessing they are, 315/75/16 is pretty big (about 35s) down to 265 75/16/ which is just about 32s or 285/75/16 which is not a bad option at around 33s.

Thanks. It has 265's on it at the moment.

In future i'm not sure if i should get 315's on these rims or just use my 15inch steel rims and get 35's on them.

go the 15's cheaper to replace. $60ea
If you mean the 3 spoke Ti Rims they are about $400 ea new or were few yurs ago.
