tire sizes
can anyone tell me the tire size for a tyre say the equivilant of a 33 inch? im looking to put something onto a 15 inch rim so....is it 285/35? i know that is a fairly skinny tire.....just want to know wat is the biggest i can go on my 15x7 rims
I think you mean a 285/75, but AFAIK that is only a size that comes in 16" ie 285/75/16 which is equivelant to a 33" diameter tyre. For a 15" rim with 33" tyres i think you will need 8" wide rims. Check a trye manufacturer and see what rim width they will fit.
Saddle up tonto, its the not so loanrangie! . 98 TDI DISCO lightly modded with more to come.
You are correct, most around home will put them on though, but they drive fine and iv'e ran numerous sets.BIg StEvE wrote:Most tyre joints wont mount a 12.5 inch tyre on a seven inch wide rim. They are not legally aloud too. Some still may do it for you but there not meant too.cloughy wrote:33" 10.5" r15 BFGoodrich mud, 33" 10.5" r15 jungle trekker or just run 33" 12.5" on the 7" rims they fit fine
