BAR MODS FOR WINCH

Post by Loanrangie »

Will 4mm plate be enough to brace my ARB bar for mounting a winch ?
I will be bracing in a c shape from mount along behind front of bar and then back to other mount.

4mm is on verge but 6mm would be better. Brace and weld it though.

I would like to see at least 6mm as well.
It depends on what sort of bracing you are doing though.

My winch is mounted using 5mm has not bent or broken. There is a bit of bracing. Just make sure to run the bracing between the chassis mounting points and the winch and should be fine.
