STEERING BOX REPAIRS

Post by sudso »

It looks like I blew the bottom seal (where the bottom shaft comes out) on my Rodeo's steering box at the comp. on the weekend. A fair bit of fluid leaks when I'm driving it.

Has anyone got any tips for replacing the seal?
I've never had one apart and I've heard it can be a prick of a job

Cheers

pull it apart and check the bush aswell, excessive shaft movement will cause them to leak.

It certainly copped some excessive movement on the weekend.
