G13BB or M13A with a four speed auto from a Jimny will fit with only wiring issues as the auto is divorced from the transfer case unlike a Vitara which is connected......Jimny motor and auto is also 50mm shorter than a sierra motor and 5sp combo so no need to worry about moving transfer only have to mod the jack shaft or use spacers.....
So with G13A and G13B, the gearbox will fit both without any hassle?? I don't know if there's a G13BA but i do know there's G13BB as they're out of jimny
So as far as i can tell I can fit an auto box straight up to my standard i believe g13a stock motor in a 1990 sierra with no mods other than jack shaft so its the same bolt pattern on the motor and the flex plate will fit straight up also the starter what wiring would you have to do and how will it affect my crawl ratio compared to a standard manual dose the torque converter lock up just thinking along these lines after practicing some winching when even in first low with a crawl ratio of 100 to 1 we out drove the speed of a low mount winch was very disappointed thought the winch would be quicker or i have to run smaller tyres than 38s
SWEET! Less stress now... However i do know that the jimny has a computer unit that controls the gearing in auto. is this correct and is it good for a sierra?? Be better to have 4 speed than a 3 speed
the Auto from the G13BB should work, but the later model jimnys actually use a M13A twin cam motor, which is completely different. Make sure the auto is from the right version.
