diff spacers

Post by 3.8 toy lux »

hi i was just wondering has any one used these spacers, such as snake racing ones or other brand spacers that achieve the same reslult..... i would like to know how complicated this is to do. I have been told that u will loose lock to one side so u have to put an adjustable arm in some where???? would i need an adjustable torque rod.......
any help would be appreciated

on the front of a Hilux you would either re drill your spring perch to gain 34mm or put rear springs up front , i haven't seen spacers used in the front of a lux :?

I'm using a set of home made spacers on the front of my lux, basically the same as snake ones. You will need to shorten your steering drag link and torque rod or use adjustable ones. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but welding on steering components is a big no no, so an adjustable drag link is the way to go. Hope this helps.

Yes it is, but it doesn't stop some people adament on cutting and shutting their steering arms (you know who you are ;) ).

it works :finger:

Another way to move the diff forward is to get custom front leaves made up drilled 50mm forward from standard, no need for extended shackles etc when using rears.

Superior and Snake make perches with 2 bolt holes - standard and 40mm forward IIRC - normally in A$WDM or...
