G60 diff info

Post by GURU »

G'day all,

My mate has 2 G60's and both have massive rear diffs. what type of diff are they? and what axle size and spline count are they? Is the rear semi floating or fully?? (I haven't looked at it)

the fronts aren't as big any idea of the axle size and CV size??

front diffs are C216's....same for rears if it isn't the "massive" one. Ring & pinion is interchangeable front to rear in the C216's. C216's are pre-C200 found in MQ/MK's.

The big rear diff is the 1st generation H260.

You can fit an ARB locker to the old H260 by modding the thrust block. I can't recall off the top of my head which ARB locker it is. I could dig it up if needed. You can't fit a locker to the C216s.

All 60 series Patrol diffs are semi-floating. 60 series is 1960-1979 G60s as you call them. The post 1979 G60s are actually G61's and have the MQ/MK C200/H260 diffs.

Hope that helps. :)
