front wheel bearings

Post by Crawford »

Hey,

I went into automasters and i got my front wheel bearings done cost me a few hundred odd...

First problem is, is they put my front left hub on wrong and so i cant lock it correctly so no 4wd for me at the moment. (hope that doesnt cause any damage? im taking it back to them for them to corect it)

second... i jacked my car up to see the different and one of the wheels still has a bit of movement in it.. and they still both make a grinding noise when spun.. is this normal? they said my front disc brakes were fine!! so im assuming its not those..

they seem to be a bit dodgy eh.. let me know... and tell me if u think having the hubs not put in correctly will cause problems (ive got to drive it back to them)

thank you

get a second opinion from another [reputable] mechanic before you return to them.

Pete
