Hi guys just wanted to let you know that after 4 1/2 great years of owning a Feroza, the time had finally come to move forward and part with my loyal truck.
I spotted a SWB GQ Patrol last saturday in fair condition, with a few extras that were attractive to my wife and I (like automatic tranny), and so today I switched off the ignition of the mighty Forza for the last time and drove home in a shorty Patrol!
I just truly wanted to thank everyone on all the interesting, useful and inspiring topics I had the privilage of being a part of.
And if I may I would still like to hang around and throw the odd sarcasm or two around here. :D

All I can say after all this is that Ferozas Rock!

Cheers,

Rod

First it was Mike H and his Surf........now its you and a GQ !!

The only good positive is that you will still be 'out there' 4WDing !!

Good Luck with your 'new' GQ

All the best with the new truck... but auto transmission? Now that's a real hairdresser's 4wd. :finger: :rainbowafro:

Yep - it's damn hard letting go itsn't it. Almost couldn't bring myself to drive it down to the dealers to trade her in

Well - you should only look forward, never back as they say :D Still didn't stop me remembering the good ole days when I saw her in 4wd Monthly again last month - damn it's hard to forget !!

All the best with the new wheels -

Rod,

I know how you feel. I am in the market for a GQ also, after 4 years with the Feroza. Its just not enough anymore. Not big enough, not capable enough, not enough power. Ready for more comfortable touring and competetion.

Well, good luck.

I still think the Feroza was a great starting point into 4x4 world. Although it was'nt my first truck. I had a petrol Rocky before that.
I discussed the thought of doing redical mods (SAS) to it for countless hours to guys like Leon with an engineering back ground. But it was simply to big a task and the law is not exactly on your side either.
Oh well. Life goes on.

Hi there Rod,

Go for it mate at least no you will be able to have a larger range of parts available for mods with not as many dramas. I've actually upgraded my truck again. I'm in a V8 100 series now.

Hope all goes well for you

Regards
