strongest diffs ..... bundera

whats the best diffs to put in a bundera??
i want something common, strong, and with both pumkins offset

40 series diffs are strong as they come

yes both offset to one side ........... like all cruisers (as far as i kno)

If you want to stay with Toyota, a good bet is probably a set of diffs from a 78/79 series. Put an ARB diff carrier and solid pinion spacer up front and you are rocking. Otherwise may be a GU Patrol front and a 78/79 series rear.

What do you want to get wider diffs just stronger ? . Easyest thing to do is just change rear to a 40 series full floater same width and offset and leave the front alone

In a fairly recent 4wd monthly they did a write up of the marks adaptors bundy getting 80 series axles put under it. if you rang the guys at 4wd monthly they would be able to send you a back copy with the article that will tell you how to do it. you could also call marks adaptors.

How much money have you got to spend on a new set of axles, do you also want to lock these up at the same time? What type of driving do you want to do, so many questions will help to pick a suitable choice.

basically i just wanna make them stronger
so they can handle a v8 and 35's

ive been told that 75 series are same track and steering will all bolt in
............... just have to cut off leaf hangers and weld on coil bits

i dont have a huge budget. but i do wanna make it strong. parts availability would be good too

Honestly then, get a 75 series rear axle, to swap out your current rear diff. Then leave the front alone but just upgrade the cv's to long field 30 spline CV's, that combo will take a lot of abuse especialy if only running 35's

Longfield 30 spline CVs require special 30 (inner and outer) spline axles. Unfortunately at this time Long's axles don't have the correct length for a high pinion 70 axle.

so what do i use in the front then??

alot of ppls have told me that to change diffs without changing track is stupid

but is going the expence of 80 series diffs realy worth it when i could have 2 75 series diffs and one locked for that price

Both Poly Performane and Longfield will make an inner axle to any length you specify to this would not be a problem.
