SWB MK rear window prob

Post by NZ4x4 »

I noticed a problem the other day with my rear windows (SWB MK patrol)

on the rear sliding windows there are 2 sections, the forward section which has a latch on it so that you can open and close it securly. and a rear section which i always thought was fixed into the frame and was a secure solid window.

last week when washing the car, water sprayed through a gap between the rear part of the window and the rubber seals. i thought this was pretty weird! after i had finished i put my hands flat on the glass and tried to slide it open (towards the front of the car). I was horrified to find that it opened easily.

What i want to know is, does everyone elses truck do this? if unsure please try.

This is obviously a major security problem for me (and potentially other people if they have the same problem), especially when i have thousands of $ of tools and gear in the back!
