What shocks?

Post by buddha »

Last week i sold my jeep and picked up a 1985 MK swb Patrol.

Want to start building it up for comps and last night fitted extended shackles to its 2inch lifted springs, a little bit of trimming around the front guards and 35" claws fitted nicely with no scrubbing.
Only problem is shocks are too short.
Fabed up some plates and welded them into the front shock mounts to get a bit more travel out of the front shocks, and at the moment the rear shocks are sitting on 2" box section steel so i can at least drive around town until i order some longer shocks on monday.

So i need to know who likes what shocks?

Since im blowing my budget to do everything in the next week or so with , front and rear lockers, on board air, and a half cage, i dont really need to be forking mega amounts out .

Talked to a few mates with different rigs that are all running Ranchos and they all seem happy with them, so is there anyone that could tell me otherwise?

Pro comps are stronger and cheaper.
