Hilux handbrake

Post by roverlux »

Hay everyone, just had my engine smash into the stupid u turn thing in the engine bay that runs the handbrake cable from brake lever to cable. i have seen many years ago a hilux with a floor mounted handbrake, but i didnt check how the mechanizm worked etc.... anyone have one, a pic of one, or tell me what parts from what car i need to make it happen.

Cheers, Joe.

V6 4Runners have the handbrake mechanism inside the cab and in the same spot as a normal Hilux, This can be interchanged so nothing hangs into the engine bay.

As for floor mounted handbrake your guess is as good as mine
if it ain't broke send it to me i'll fix it!

nah engine mount is good. it has always been very close to the rocker cover, just seems now that it has actually broken it now.
