GQ Handbrake Light comes on when turning right

Post by SmithyGQ »

Weird one here folks just started about 2 weeks ago as the subject line says it only comes on as I turn right then goes out when the vehicle heads straight on.
Does anyone know if their is another warning wired into this light?
Any sugestions?

another trick aswell to check the booster alarm is working is to pump the bejeezus out of the brake pedal until it starts to go hard. pressure down alarm on. light will go out after a few secs as engine provides pressure/vacum to boost the brakes.

Mine did the same thing :?

Light came on intermittently - usually turning right ???

Gradually came on more and more frequently, until now it is on constantly :?

I better go check my brake fluid :?

Better pull off the wheels and see how much pads you have left because the brake fluid reervoir is a gauge for how much brake pads are left or you have a leak.

Really"? So how does this work? What wires run to the brake assembly to monitor this?

The problem IS that the brake fluid is low.

Why is the brake fluid low??? because the caliper pistons are further out to compensate for the worn pads.
