sierra WT front pad suggestion

Post by Geoffrey Dick »

what are the best types of front disc pads to get. i do minimal on-road driving. what are the bendix metal like? any other suggestions, going to run slotted and probably cross drilled rotors (dba 510s or 510x).

cheers

I may be wrong, but I'd think a standard pad would be best for slower speed work. Some of the "performance" pads need a fair bit of heat to start working properly.

If u are replacing the rotors and pads. maybe go for vitara brake upgrade? then u get the better brake package and then run aftermarket pads or discs.

I've got Ferodo pads on my front. They use them standard on BMWs. Hard compound that I have noticed needs to heat up a bit to work well but when you plant the foot they definitely stop the car. About 10 bucks more expensive than the el cheapos from Repco.

I only got them because they didn't have the cheap ones so they gave me these for the same price....around 40 bucks i think.
