TB42 Vacuum Advance

Found out today after I had the GQ tuned by a local LPG garage that the vacuum advance does not work.

It was probably already dead when I bought the car 3 years ago (maybe).

My question is, will it hurt anything if I just left it without repairing it?

The car seems to be running normal, as in not missing or anything erratic. :?

Anyone had this happen before?

In that case you could set the timing a little more advance than factory. It's a poor way to do it but LPG can have a little more overall, it's when people set the distributor heaps advanced and then the vacuum give it heaps more, it's way too much. Better of fixing it if not to expensive and set it all properly or get a new Bosch HEI if you have a fat wallet, but that is the best option.
