Can you swap rear diff centres 60 to 80

I have an opportunity to swap my rear LSD center for my mates 60 center with an air locker.
The 60 is a 83 petrol and the 80 is a 97 turbo diesel. I imagine that they are both 4.1:1. Just want to know if the bolt holes / flanges are the same.

Thanks,

Alec

got a feeling the flange is different, but swap the female end of the driveshaft with him if it is (the splines should work together?)

the 60 will be 4.11:1, the 80 4.1:1... not enough difference to worry about

Why not just swap the pinion flanges over

I agree This is all I did when I swaped a bj42 gearbox & transfercase into a bj73. I just swaped the flanges over in the transfercase. The same would go for a diff.
