g16b engine angle question ????
Re: g16b engine angle question ????
Straight up & down AFAIK. Shouldn't be a big drama if you need to tilt it a little for clearance though.1Lzook wrote:i am currently mounting my g16b into my sierra

Can't recall exactly, but i'm pretty sure mine sits flat, or close to it. But I can't see why you couldn't tilt it back. The fuel rail is under pressure so tilting it a few degrees shouldn't bother it. I'm curious as to why you need to though?1Lzook wrote:no like angle back
can it be tilted back
or does the inj rail have to sit flat ??
Most of the stock vehicles I have seen usually have engine tilted back around 4-5*
But as said, the flanges on the drive line all need to be close to same as to avoid vibes.
My 1.3 sits back 4* and tilts to the passenger side a few.
Also motor doesn't sit directly in centre of the bay....
check out a few stock engines with a tape measure, and/or angl measure thing
