g16b engine angle question ????

i am currently mounting my g16b into my sierra
what angle does the motor have to sit on ??
will the wrong angle affect the motor ?

Straight up & down AFAIK. Shouldn't be a big drama if you need to tilt it a little for clearance though.

no like angle back
can it be tilted back
or does the inj rail have to sit flat ??

Can't recall exactly, but i'm pretty sure mine sits flat, or close to it. But I can't see why you couldn't tilt it back. The fuel rail is under pressure so tilting it a few degrees shouldn't bother it. I'm curious as to why you need to though?

If the engine didn't need oil it could run up side down. :) So don't worry to much about the front to rear angles. :) more important is the drive line angles.

Most of the stock vehicles I have seen usually have engine tilted back around 4-5*
But as said, the flanges on the drive line all need to be close to same as to avoid vibes.

My 1.3 sits back 4* and tilts to the passenger side a few.
Also motor doesn't sit directly in centre of the bay....
check out a few stock engines with a tape measure, and/or angl measure thing

yeah the motor sits a little to the passanger side which is good because otherwise i would have issues with my brake master and my inlet manifold
